“Acting is not about being someone different. It's finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there”. This quote by one of my favourite actresses Meryl Streep; it has inspired me further to choose acting as a potential career. From a young age, I have always loved performing arts and I have participated in numerous performances. Being on stage and performing to an audience is what I find exciting and exhilarating. From an early age, whenever asked about what I would like to do when I grow up, my answer has always been ‘a professional actress’. Throughout the years, I have matured as a person and my dream has never faded, but developed into something bigger, and more meaningful. Acting is one of the hardest industries to get into which makes me like it even more, as I do like challenges. From the age of 10, I have been to many auditions for roles in films, west end productions and many more.My name is Maia Karina Stanio-Marimuthu. I have loved acting and dancing since a young age. It has been my dream to pursue acting since the age of 4. I have started my GCSE’s. I have chosen Sports Studies, Triple Science, maths, English, Business, ICT and History. (Drama wasn’t an option but if it was I would’ve taken it).
