I have always had an interest in Acting. I am focussed, hard-working and dedicated. I will strive to work for the things I would like and always give my best. I am a creative person and also undertake writing works of my own. My keen interest is in performing as I love having the opportunity to be characters other than myself, yet still myself at the end. I am currently studying BA (hons) Acting at the University of St Mark and St John and have just completed my first professional tour of 'King Lear'. I have studied drama through GCSE and AS/A2). I have been around and loved horses from a young age and an competent in working with them. I also have some ballet experience as well as previously undertaking music lessons. Through school I have directorial, editing and technical experience through working on our performances. I am a member of and have attended TR2 (Theatre Royal) classes and have some experience through small performances with this group. I have also attended workshops to have the opportunity to work with a range of genres and skills. Through this I have studied the works of Shakespeare and George Orwell as well as a range of skills and mediums including physical theatre and styalisation. With a strong interest in writing, I frequently write my own projects. I have studied physical theatre and taken part in various workshops including Frantic Assembly and Propeller which taught me ways to utilise space and movement and work on improvising character realistically. I undertook voluntary work with a local Drama Club with whom I had the opportunity to lead activities and co-direct their piece for the Shakespeare School Festival. I gained experience in putting on a show and in teaching warm-ups, games, casting roles and workshops. I was able to attend professional workshops with professional actors working on performance skills.
